The Cinematography of Jon Aaron Aaseng

My passion lies in creating exciting, beautiful, compelling imagery that conveys the emotions of the story being told. True, I may be a bit of a cinematic mercenary, but I try to stick with projects that hold plenty of drama. Sometimes that's a scripted drama which unfolds after multiple takes with a studio full of crew members. Other times it comes with the man vs. nature immediacy of a big game hunt in the North American wilderness where I'm a one-man-crew with an HDCam on a secluded mountain side. And sometimes I find it in the tears of a grieving mother who pours out her heart to the documentary team I work with.
